AppearanceThe couch is nice looking and easy to assemble. It is a slightly lighter brown than the picture appears to be, but I would still describe it as a dark brown.AssemblyThe only assembly you need to do is putting the feet on, which is really easy. It comes it a box, and if you have to move it up stairs, I would recommend keeping it in the box, then de-boxing it.Couch/Bed ConversionThe couch can be folded up in the back and on one side, which is really handy. It's easy to turn it into a couch and harder to turn it back into a bed--you have to push it forward really hard before it will release.Using it as a BedWhen you lay this flat, there is a bar in the middle. The couch is really firm, bordering on hard. I am not able to sleep comfortably on this without a substantial mattress pad.The SmellThere was a noticible smell when I first got it, but it has faded over three or four days.DeliveryThe delivery method is "Self Service Truck Delivery", meaning you have to get it off of the truck yourself. I was able to arrange to have it brought into my apartment for a fee, but was not able to arrange getting it delivered to a specific room. Making these arrangements entailed calling the shipper, then Wayfair after the shipper couldn't find my order, then the shipper again when I hadn't heard anything about a delivery time by the expected delivery date. They state that "2 to 4 hour window for delivery, which will be communicated either by phone or email." Nobody called or emailed, they just showed up. It was pure luck that I was in.
