I studied settees of all designs and prices for a more than a week before deciding to buy this one. Others seemed perhaps more elegant or required no assembly (a plus to me nowdays), but in the end I took a chance on this unreviewed product because it was lowest in price, shipped for free, and met all my basic criteria for shape and form and style. I am not disappointed. In fact, I am very happy to have this quite attractive and very comfortable piece in the place I planned for it. I now read or watch TV or even nap in the light-filled alcove where it sits. Company join me from time to time, and so do my cats often. The friend who assembled it for me did so easily in less than an hour: all the necessary pieces and tools were present in the intact shipping box. Nothing negative. Everything positive.

It is an acceptable piece of furniture but is overpriced for what you get.ProsLooks better than the photosActually comfortable to sit onRemovable cushion coversConsVery poor build quality - Upholstery staples falling out - extraneous hammer marks on underside - stain not evenly appliedWay to much insecticide used - I know cloth is sprayed with insecticide before shipping from overseas but this piece was drenched in the stuff. Thankfully the cushion covers where removable and washablePoor Instructions - I have built a more than a few pieces of mail order furniture, this had the worst instructions - Unit came with 4 wooden dowels but instructions did not mention them at all (I figured out where they went)Inadequate shipping protection - Ships in that crappy Chinese cardboard which offers no protection - Mine had a dent on one of the side boards, not major but stillOh and I thought this had Prime shipping but it took a week to get here.I paid $454 but to me this item is worth about $299.
